Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 20 July 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Precision Builds website.
In these terms, “Precision Builds”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Precision Build South Ltd, trading as Precision Builds. “You” means anyone accessing or using this website.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.
2. Website information
The information on this website is provided for general information only. While we take reasonable care to keep it accurate and current, building costs, timeframes, materials, availability and regulatory requirements can change.
Website content does not constitute:
A formal quotation or estimate
Professional architectural, engineering, legal or financial advice
A guarantee that a particular service, material or timeframe will be available
A binding offer or construction contract
Please contact Precision Builds for information and advice specific to your project.
3. Building services and contracts
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create a contract between you and Precision Builds or require us to accept your project.
Any building or renovation work will be subject to a separate written quotation or building contract. That document will set out the agreed scope, pricing, payment terms, responsibilities, variations, estimated timeframes, guarantees and other project-specific conditions.
If there is any inconsistency between information on this website and a signed contract, the signed contract will apply to the extent permitted by law.
Residential building work may also be protected by statutory rights and implied warranties under New Zealand law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
4. Quotes, estimates and timeframes
Any pricing, cost ranges or timeframes shown on this website are indicative only unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Formal quotations and estimates are valid for the period stated in the relevant document. Pricing and project timeframes may be affected by factors such as:
Changes to the project scope
Client-requested variations
Site conditions
Material and labour availability
Supplier price changes
Consent or regulatory requirements
Weather conditions
Delays outside our reasonable control
These matters will be addressed in the relevant quotation or building contract.
5. Master Build 10-Year Guarantee
As a Registered Master Builder, Precision Builds can offer eligible clients the Master Build 10-Year Guarantee for qualifying residential building projects.
The Guarantee is provided and administered by Master Build Services and is separate from your building contract with Precision Builds. It is not automatically provided simply because you engage a Registered Master Builder. An application must be submitted and approved in accordance with Master Build Services’ requirements.
The availability, cost, coverage, limits and exclusions of the Guarantee will depend on the project and the type of cover selected. All cover and claims are subject to the current Master Build 10-Year Guarantee terms and conditions.
Depending on the approved cover, the Guarantee may provide protection relating to:
Loss of deposit
Non-completion of building work
Defects in materials or workmanship
Structural defects
Certain associated costs
Full details are available from Precision Builds or through Registered Master Builders.
The Master Build 10-Year Guarantee provides additional protection and does not replace any statutory rights or implied warranties you may have under the Building Act 2004, Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand legislation.
6. Project imagery and examples
Photographs, plans, renders, descriptions and completed projects displayed on this website are provided as examples of our work and capabilities.
Results will vary between projects depending on the site, plans, budget, materials, consultants, client requirements and other factors. Displaying a project does not necessarily mean that every element shown was designed, supplied or completed solely by Precision Builds.
Project images must not be copied, reproduced or used without our written permission and, where applicable, the permission of the relevant photographer, architect, designer or property owner.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, this website and its content—including text, graphics, branding, photographs, videos, layouts and design elements—are owned by or licensed to Precision Builds and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may view the website and print or save reasonable extracts for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, modify, distribute, republish, sell or commercially use website content without prior written permission.
Precision Builds does not claim ownership of information or materials you submit through the website. However, you give us permission to use those materials as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry or assess your proposed project.
We will not use client-supplied photographs, plans or other materials for public marketing without appropriate permission.
